Citrus prices fell in April
After registering nominal records in February and March this year, Tahiti lime prices fell by more than 30% in April
Syngenta shipped the first batch of soybeans exported by the company directly to the Chinese market. The expected arrival date for 70 tons of grain at the Chinese port of Xinsha is May 11, with a value of approximately US$38 million. The ship left the port of Santos at the end of March.
The volume exported is part of the Agriculture Value Chain plans, an initiative announced in February this year. Drawing on its experience in international negotiations and coffee exports, carried out through the Nutrade platform, and the strong ties it has with the Asian country, in 2021 Syngenta also expanded its focus to soybeans.
Grains are negotiated directly with China, exclusively covering production acquired via barter from its customers, responding to a demand exposed by the market during the One Agro event, held in June 2019.
The company is the only one in Brazil to offer this type of alternative to producers, in which it is possible to use the volume involved in barter negotiations for direct export to China.
