In the month in which International Cooperative Day is celebrated, Aliança, Syngenta's relationship and training program, celebrates 25 years of training professionals from the technical and management teams and senior leaders of participating cooperatives. A pioneer in Brazilian agribusiness, the initiative arose from a partnership between Syngenta and cooperatives that sought innovation, knowledge sharing and the development of technological solutions capable of accelerating the productive potential of crops.

Currently, the program has more than 70 registered cooperatives, totaling approximately 100 thousand members and five thousand employees. The Alliance Program’s operations are based on four fundamental pillars: innovation, partnership, development and training. Through them, a relationship of trust is established between Syngenta and its partners, with a focus on generating greater profitability and competitiveness for cooperatives.

“It is not new that Syngenta has a different perspective on agricultural cooperatives and their members. When we started with Aliança, more than two decades ago, it was not common for a large company to support this business model. We were the first to recognize the importance of cooperativism for the growth of national agriculture. Our objective is to continue working in union with these cooperatives and bringing more and more knowledge, innovations and initiatives that strengthen sustainable development, productivity and prosperity for farmers”, highlights Guilherme Perroni, Market Access Manager at Syngenta Protection de Crops.
