Simbiose received the Carbon Neutral seal from the environmental consultancy NeoGreen. To obtain certification, the company carried out an inventory of gas emission reductions during 2022. The survey included measuring the amount of gases emitted by stationary combustion, mobile combustion, fugitive emissions, industrial processes and effluents.
Based on the results, Simbiose carried out the necessary carbon offsetting and neutralized emissions. "It's a gradual process, which requires continuous investment", says Marcelo de Godoy Oliveira, founder and CEO of Simbiose.
"We have completed the first stage of our planning by neutralizing emissions. Now we have important internal work ahead of us, which is to bring these emissions to zero."
The Carbon Neutral seal means that the company emits carbon while carrying out its processes, but seeks environmental compensation to balance the scales. When the company stops emitting the element, it is certified with the Zero Carbon Seal. The compensation helped with the Santa Maria Project, which works to preserve and reforest the Amazon region.

Ministers also decided that full publicity should be given to requests and concessions for registration of these products, without requiring registration for consultation
