Cooxupé, an agricultural cooperative from Minas Gerais, and Netafim, a drip irrigation company, have signed a partnership that will offer members new strategies for irrigating their crops. The agreement consists of connecting three links: Cooxupé, Netafim and the company's partner distributors, providing benefits and special conditions to members.
According to Mário Ferraz de Araújo, Technical Development Manager at Cooxupé, the partnership with Netafim took place because irrigation is a technology that adds productivity and profitability to the cooperative member. “And because Netafim is a differentiated irrigation company in the sector in terms of product quality and technology,” he said.
Still according to Araújo, some of the main needs that lead coffee growers to opt for irrigation are related to the significant increase in productivity and profitability that ensures safe production that does not depend on weather conditions. “We consider that one of the positive impacts of our partnership will be the increase in the satisfaction of our members and, consequently, their loyalty with access to cutting-edge technology that can be acquired through the production of coffee itself”, he concluded.
