Even in this off-season, the availability of fiber has exceeded demand, according to information from Cepea. Some sellers are more flexible, but the few active buyers offer even lower amounts. Most industries, which continue to have their activities suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, are awaiting government measures to resume activities. Between April 7th and 14th, the CEPEA/ESALQ cotton lint indicator, with payment in 8 days, fell 2,1%, closing at R$ 2,8083/lp on Tuesday, 14th. In the April partial ( until the 14th), the Indicator accumulates a drop of 1,16%.
