Japan's Sumitomo Corporation, through Agro Amazônia, will invest R$140 million in a new soybean seed storage and processing plant in Patos de Minas. The announcement was made this Friday (20/6), during a mission by the Minas Gerais government to Japan. Operations are expected to begin in full by the end of 2026.
The project is expected to be completed by 2025. The project will create 40 direct jobs and expand the presence of technology in the agricultural sector in Minas Gerais. The initiative is part of the state government's strategy to attract international investment.
