The Japanese company Sumitomo Chemical is one of the sponsors of the 19th edition of Herbishow - Seminar on Sugarcane Weed Control, which takes place today, September 2nd. Held by the IDEA Group, the meeting, which this year will take place online, has become one of the main agribusiness events with an emphasis on weed control in sugarcane fields. Sumitomo Chemical will announce the launch of Encke and Viper herbicides at the seminar.
The Japanese company will also highlight its platform of solutions made up of the herbicides Tractor, Sumyzin and Viper, suitable for managing broad-leaved weeds, including mucunas, merremias and castor beans, and narrow-leaved weeds, such as camalote grass. This group of invaders is considered by researchers to be difficult to control in sugarcane fields.
Another technical attraction that Sumitomo Chemical will bring to the event is recommended in the sugarcane field renovation processes. This is the herbicide Crucial. This product, formulated based on double liquid salt technology, results in a faster effect in controlling a broad spectrum of invasive plants. It also allows, according to the company, a rapid effect on desiccation - even in rainy cycles.
The pre-emergent herbicide ZethaMaxx, recently registered for applications in peanut crops, will be another solution presented by the Japanese company. “ZethaMaxx is a highly effective tool, especially in the areas of meiosis and sugarcane field renovation. The herbicide reduces weed pressure in peanuts and sugarcane, after splitting”, summarizes the Trade Marketing Manager at Sumitomo Chemical, Paulo Desenso.
