Farmers’ breeding: the Horsch story
German company, formally established in 1984, is one of the increasingly rare examples of solutions developed by farmers for farmers
Sumitomo Chemical will be present at Copacol Agro 2023, which takes place between May 9th and 11th, in Cafelândia (PR). During the event, the company will present its solutions for crop protection, such as the fungicide Excalia Max, which has a broad spectrum of control against Asian rust, target spot, leaf blight and brown spot.
Excalia Max is the result of ten years of investment in research and contains the unprecedented molecule Indiflin. The solution is quickly absorbed by the leaves and is systemic par excellence, protecting the productive potential of soybean crops. As a result of the last harvest, the use of Excalia Max increased the rural producer by around 2 bags of soybeans per hectare.
In addition to the fungicide, the company will present the SOJA+ program, which uses plant growth regulators MaxCel and ProGibb to increase grain productivity and quality.
Sumitomo Chemical will also be present with solutions for corn cultivation, such as the Seed Protection platform, which has a complete portfolio of sustainable solutions for seed treatment, pest and disease control and increased grain productivity. Among the solutions presented, the Maestro FS insecticide, the Aveo nematicide, the Inside FS insecticide and the MycoApply EndoFuse and MycoApply EndoMaxx solutions stand out, which promote greater longevity, health and soil sustainability.
The event is held by the Copacol cooperative and is one of the largest in the agricultural sector in the region, with an area of 60 thousand square meters. During the three days, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about solutions, in addition to participating in lectures on market trends.
