Perfect Flight was at an FMC event in Argentina to demonstrate the relevance of technology in citrus health and productivity
The last two days of August were dedicated to Strider Day, an event promoted by Strider, an AgTech startup acquired by Syngenta, which provided the exchange of ideas, experiences and results obtained through solutions focused on digital agriculture. Rooftop 5, at the Tomie Ohtake Institute in São Paulo, hosted several lectures and discussions about the field that is promoting the most recent revolution in agriculture.
The digital era is already a reality for everyone who deals daily with the challenges of agribusiness, whether as an industry, as producers or professionals linked to this aspect of agriculture. Ulisses Mello, Director of the IBM Research Center in Brazil and one of the speakers at the event, spoke about the company's motivation in relation to digital agriculture, which has enabled solutions and technologies so that data generated in the field is captured in a productive way, helping producers access productivity and increasing results.
André Savino, Marketing Director at Syngenta in Brazil, illustrated how the company's partnership with Strider can only improve the farmer's life: “while AgTech companies come with innovation, the industry enables the scale of new solutions. ,
Other speakers also exemplified the technological present in their speeches, such as Rick Murdock, co-founder of Ag Connections, an AgTech company acquired by Syngenta in the United States. He spoke about “The global scenario of using technology for agriculture”, explaining that when providing precise agronomic management, through monitoring software and cloud applications, there is a learning curve regarding the importance of capturing information from each plot of the property.
And to attest to the advantages of digital agriculture in crops, Citrosuco, the largest global producer of concentrated orange juice, presented its positive results achieved through two Strider solutions: Protector and Tracker.
