Rising movement in rice prices has been observed since the end of August
The advance is linked to heated external demand, which favors the reduction of surpluses in the Brazilian market
One of the most important and versatile foods in the world, corn, is the most produced and consumed grain on the four continents, having great economic and social relevance, used on a large scale in industry and also as a source for energy production. In Brazil, corn producers are expected to harvest – in the second harvest of the cereal – 87,4 million tons, as pointed out by the National Supply Company (Conab). With the good performance of crops in the 2021/22 season, the second corn harvest will have the highest production recorded in the historical series and will reach 44% growth when compared to the previous survey, when corn had a strong reduction due to the impact of lack of rain and pest attacks in important producing regions.
A pioneer for 50 years, the company develops a complete corn crop portfolio in the country, full of efficient technical results that help producers extract the maximum potential in the field. Thinking about this challenging routine of producers in their fields, Stoller do Brasil launches, at the end of November, Milho 360°, composed of the already known Maneje, a concept whose main objective is to increase the supply and improve the use of nitrogen by the crop, as well as exploring their full physiological potential, and the Nutra&Defenda concept, which promotes the nutritional balance of plants from the inside out, leaving them stronger and protected.
Corn 360° consists of working on these two concepts with a focus on exploring relevant aspects in corn farming, starting with the initial guarantee of the plant, good health, minimization of abiotic and biotic stresses, well-developed root system, duration of leaf area, balance adequate nutrition, maintenance of high photosynthetic rates, presence of healthy stalks with carbohydrate reserves, appropriate sowing time, grain filling without physiological and nutritional restrictions, correct spatial distribution of plants, supply, use of Nitrogen and hormonal balance.
For Fernanda Patricio Vieira, Market Development representative at Stoller, this is a holistic view of corn cultivation, proposing efficient solutions in an innovative and careful way at key moments in the crop, from sowing to harvest.
“We are proposing to further strengthen our relationship with corn producers, in which we provide knowledge and innovative technologies for the crop, reaching different moments of application and different farmers, from small to large producers, and in all regions of the country”, analyzes .
In the current scenario of corn farming, knowledge becomes essential for a real increase in productivity at the end of the cycle, due to the growing need to combat adversities such as high temperatures and cloudiness, water restrictions in the cycle, the occurrence of low temperatures and even frosts. , incidence of pests and diseases that can be combatted more efficiently.
Stoller monitors corn crops through specialized consultancies that confirmed, in 2022, promising results with the use of Corn 360º, as was the case with the planting cycle carried out on a property located in Rio Verde (GO), which proved a total of 151,3 sc/ha, that is, an increase of +5,6 sc/ha in relation to the farm's standard harvest of 131,4 sc/ha.
In Sapezal (MT), another great result. The monitored corn crop recorded an increase of +6,0 sc/ha, reaching a total of 144 sc/ha, in relation to the control standard without fungicides, which totaled 132,1 sc/ha.
In the 2022/23 harvest, Stoller will make Corn 360° available for crops in Brazil and Paraguay and all technical assistance is provided by the company and representatives of agricultural input distribution channels.
