With the increasing mechanization of crops and the challenging need to produce more using the same planting area, phytosanitary management is essential to guarantee quality and productivity in the field. World leader in nutrition and plant physiology, Stoller, a Corteva Agriscience company, last year further intensified R&D research in the segment, proposing solutions to the needs of producers in different crops and regions of the country. The result was the creation of the AdjuSt Program, a new company concept, composed of four new adjuvant technologies that can be used together or individually, with different formulations for preparing the syrup and specific liquid volume concentrations for aerial and terrestrial.

“We created a specialized team to work in this market that grows year after year and integrates with the company's other solutions. Furthermore, all development of new products was carried out within Stoller standards, which reinforces safety and efficiency in the use of these new technologies”, explains Jorge Tame, Strategic Marketing Manager at Stoller.

In total, there are four new solutions: AdjuSt Silver NT, multifunctional drift reducer, adhesive spreader and humectant, most used in applications with insecticides and fungicides, recommended for crops such as soybeans, corn, cotton, coffee and sugarcane. AdjuSt Herb is a drift and foam reducer, developed for applications with herbicides, especially when there is a greater tendency for foam to form when preparing the mixture. It has the great advantage of practically eliminating foam. AdjuSt Gold also reduces drift, is an adhesive and humectant spreader, in the same way as Silver, but with a greater penetration capacity, and is recommended for spraying with low liquid volume, such as aerial application. Finally, AdjuSt Platinum makes the spray mixture compatible, helping with mixing, mitigating compatibility problems, ensuring the stability and homogeneity of the spray mix.

“Customized solutions are important, as spraying is heavily influenced by the environment. Relative air humidity, temperature, wind and even the quality of the water used in the process are factors that need attention, in addition to operational issues such as equipment maintenance and technical support itself”, analyzes Luis André Tobias, New Business Coordinator at Stoller.

In Brazil, the adjuvants market represents R$ 1,5 billion, with 81% of Brazilian farmers using some tool in this segment, according to research carried out by the consultancy Spark Smart Decisions in 2022. The report published by MarketsandMarkets, the market Global agricultural adjuvants is expected to reach a value of US$4,7 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 5,3% during the forecast period. Factors such as growing demand for improved varieties are driving the growth of the agricultural adjuvants market.

“It is worth emphasizing that a single adjuvant solution, in a standardized way, will not work with maximum efficiency because each application presents specific needs, which must be considered together with the crop development stages. Stoller's AdjuSt Program innovates precisely because it presents solutions in the different phases of crops”, concludes Luis André Cardoso.
