State of Paraná proposes R$568 billion for the 2024/25 Harvest Plan

Paraná proposed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture (MDA) the release of R$568 billion for the 2024/25 Harvest Plan. The amount covers corporate and family farming, with resources allocated to funding, marketing and investment.

The proposal was sent today and includes investments, funding and marketing. The Secretary of State for Agriculture and Supply, Norberto Ortigara, highlighted the importance of producers' participation in the preparation of the proposal.

The document highlights the impact of weather conditions on crops in the 2023/24 harvest. The entities remember that inputs were purchased at high prices, while corn and soybean prices were reduced.

Rural credit:

Prioritization of activities, producers and enterprises with social and environmental benefits.

• R$383 billion for funding and commercialization credits and R$185 billion for investments.

•  Pronaf:

  • R$45 billion for funding and marketing (interest rates from 0,5% to 4,5%).
  • Limit of R$500 for funding.
  • R$45 billion for investments.
  • Limit of R$350 thousand.

• Pronamp:

  • R$71 billion for funding and marketing (7% interest).
  • R$14 billion for investments.

• Other producers:

  • R$267 billion for funding (8% interest).
  • R$126 billion for investments.

Investments:

• Priorities:

  • Construction and renovation of warehouses (R$ 12 billion).
  • Proirriga (R$3 billion).
  • Inovagro (R$4,5 billion).
  • RenovAgro (R$9 billion).
  • Expansion of credit resources for agricultural cooperatives and Prodecoop (from R$1,9 billion to R$5 billion).

Rural insurance:

  • R$2,5 billion in the Rural Insurance Premium Subsidy Program.
  • Regulation of the law that established the Catastrophe Fund.
  • Increase of the Proagro limit from R$335 thousand to R$500 thousand per producer and per harvest.
  • Proagro coverage from the planting date until the end of the harvest.
