Responsible for more than 50% of productivity in Brazilian crops, spraying demands technology and adequate management to obtain the expected effectiveness. New Holland Agriculture, a CNH Industrial brand, presents the IntelliSpray nozzle control system at the 42nd edition of Expointer, between August 24th and September 1st, in Esteiro (RS).

IntelliSpray allows a uniform application along the bar as it controls flow and pressure simultaneously, allowing speed and flow to vary without changing the pressure in the nozzles, preserving the droplet size and minimizing drift.

Operated by the controller via the IntelliView IV monitor, IntelliSpray automatically and precisely controls flow to meet desired application rates, in addition to monitoring each nozzle and alerting the operator of potential problems. The system also generates maps and application reports, in addition to recognizing areas that have not been sprayed.

And to ensure that the pesticides reach the target effectively, the automatic height control of the IntelliHeigh bar guarantees the distance between the spray nozzle and the plant. This solution set controls rate and target – the ideal droplet in the right place. “The use of IntelliSpray in the application increases the productive potential of the crop and can also generate savings, on average, of up to 15% in the use of inputs, depending on the shape of the field”, explains the Product Marketing Specialist at New Holland Agriculture, Diego Torres.

At Expointer 2019, IntelliSpray will be on display in the Precision Land Management (PLM) space – New Holland Agriculture's precision agriculture system.

Spraying

The sprayer is the machine that works the hardest on a crop, being used several times during the harvest. At the New Holland stand at Expointer, the 2500 model from the Defensor family will be the brand's highlight.

The Defensor 2500 applies on slopes of up to 21% and allows a reduction in fuel consumption of 15%, due to the EcoCruise mode which, when activated, adjusts the machine's rotation range without compromising the application. The family also has a bigger 'brother', the Defensor 3500. With a six-cylinder FPT Industrial engine and 250 hp, New Holland's 3.500-liter self-propelled vehicle can be equipped with a 30 or 36 meter beam.

Both sprayers have technologies that isolate the operator from external contact due to the pressurized cabin equipped with an activated carbon filter, in addition to operating comfort.

“Combined with safety and comfort, the Defensor family has a proportional weight distribution, minimizing soil compaction and offering more availability to protect the crop. Along the same lines, it is important to highlight the ability to operate safely at night, given the new camera kits and LED work lights, which guarantee full visibility to the operator”, adds Diego Torres.
