All with the support of the Masters Distributor Network, present throughout Brazil in the replacement of genuine parts, specialized services and quality technical assistance.
“FPT Industrial’s plans for 2019 are to expand sales, expand business in all segments and increase presence through the new distributor network. FPT Industrial produces its engines in Brazil and Argentina and is prepared to meet the diverse requirements of the Latin American markets”, says the president of FPT Industrial South America, Marco Rangel.
POWER GENERATORS POWERED BY BIOMETHANE AND GAS
It is nothing new that FPT Industrial already offers diesel generators from 30 kVA to 700 kVA, produced in Brazil, in cabin and open versions. This launch was announced at Agrishow in 2018 and, since then, in addition to the broad portfolio and Distributor Network that covers more than 85% of the national territory, the brand offers the possibility of purchasing generators through the Consortium modality.
What's new from FPT Industrial for Agrishow 2019 is the unprecedented gas-powered power generator, a technology that can be fueled with Biomethane, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), in low and high pressure systems. The technology symbolizes energy transformation in operations such as farms and landfills, enabling independence for rural producers.
Equipped with the FPT NEF6 engine, the generator powered by Biomethane and Gas differs from generators powered by diesel by the injection system, which uses multipoint stoichiometric technology, optimizing combustion and allowing lower fuel consumption associated with stable and optimized performance. for energy generation. Among the main advantages we highlight the possibility of operating with Biomethane, a renewable source of fuel that will enable lower operating costs, in addition to being quieter equipment with fewer emissions, compared to traditional diesel-powered generators.
Biomethane is produced from waste Biogas (Biodigestion) to produce electricity in the farmer's operation, in addition to being able to become an extra electrical source to supply local communities at low cost.
“Gas power generation has become an extremely advantageous option for producers who invest heavily in sustainable technologies to increase productivity and reduce operating costs”, says FPT Industrial Product Marketing specialist, André Faria.
FPT S8000 MAR-I/TIER 3
The new FPT S8000 engine brings MAR-I/Tier 3 emissions certification for tractors with power equal to or greater than 19 kW (25 hp) up to 75 kW (101 hp), effective from 2019, delivering high torque at low rotations and low noise level, in addition to lower consumption, simple and economical maintenance. Compared to the previous version, the new engine emits up to 60% less pollutants.
Presented during Agrishow 2019 at the New Holland Agriculture stand, the FPT S8000 equips the new TT55 tractor, in the 2,9 liter turbocharged configuration, in addition to the new TL5.80 and TL5.100, in the 3,9 liter turbocharged configuration. In the Case IH line, the FPT Industrial engine is present in the new Farmall 80 (2,9 liter turbocharged configuration), Farmall 90 and Farmall 100 (3,9 liter turbocharged configuration).
“The FPT S8000 stands out for its performance and simplicity. With a high-efficiency turbocharger and mechanical fuel injection pump, it provides high power density for the most severe field conditions. Easy maintenance makes the farmer’s operation even more efficient”, says André Faria.
Since 2015, FPT Industrial has made significant investments in the development of technology and preparation of units for the production of MAR-I/Tier 3 engines. Process optimization and improvements led the factories in Sete Lagoas (MG) and Córdoba, in Argentina, to obtain, in 2016 and 2018, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) certifications, a CNH Industrial system structured on continuous improvement, designed to eliminate waste and losses in the production process.
FPT CURSOR 9
With 8,7 liters and six cylinders, the FPT Cursor 9 was designed to deliver maximum power and efficiency with low fuel consumption. The engine powers the Magnum tractors, from Case IH, and T8, from New Holland Agriculture. Power for this application varies from 250 hp to 385 hp, depending on the version.
Since last year, the FPT Cursor 9 has been produced at the FPT Industrial factory in Córdoba. The plant is responsible for machining and manufacturing NEF and Cursor series engines for the on-road, off-road, marine and power generation segments.
FPT F1A
The new Fiat Ducato is equipped with the latest generation of the 1-liter FPT F2,3A engine, produced by FPT Industrial in Sete Lagoas (MG). One of the brand's best-selling products in the world, the new generation of engines is the result of more than 35 years of developing engines for light commercial vehicles and was developed following all the criteria of maximum performance, comfort and reliability.
In the version that equips the new Fiat Ducato, the F1A became even more powerful, generating 130 hp. Vibrations and noise are up to 5 db lower than its main competitors – directly increasing driver comfort and safety during the work cycle. Equipped with the new six-speed transmission, the engine speed was adjusted, improving its efficiency on streets and highways and further reducing fuel consumption.
The F1A engines feature state-of-the-art Common Rail injection, four valves per cylinder, a maintenance-free hydraulic valve system, and advanced air intake systems. The distribution of power and torque is done intelligently so that performance and fuel economy occur in any situation. The EGR system, which recirculates exhaust gases, is the best solution available to maintain emissions within the limits established by Proconve L6/Euro 5 standards.
MARINE SIMULATOR
Visitors to Agrishow 2019 also feel the thrill of piloting a high-performance boat in the maritime simulator at the brand's stand. The virtual route reproduces the world water speed record, achieved in 2017 with the FPT Cursor 16 engine.
The historic milestone, recognized by Guinness World Records, was recorded on Lake Como, in Italy, when world champion Fabio Buzzi's speedboat reached a speed of 277,5 km/h – around 25,5 km/h more than the previous record. The Cursor 16, generally used in agricultural applications, was converted into a marine engine capable of generating more than 1.720 horsepower.
