Agrishow Special: Air-assisted sprayer is battery-powered
In addition to the battery, which replaces the combustion engine, the equipment also comes equipped with a fan.
Agrishow is known worldwide for the innovations it launches on the market. In this 26th edition, the highlight is the connectivity of machines and equipment with management systems. To discuss the topic, the Knowledge Arena hosted the lecture: “Connectivity and the Internet of Things: the present-future of agribusiness”, with Eduardo Takeshi, Information Security and Information Technology Business Manager at Oi.
For the first time at the event, Oi is investing in agribusiness. “Currently, rural producers have connectivity and the Internet of Things (IoT), which help to increase productivity in the field, consequently in decision making and enable access and sending of information online from the farm to headquarters, remotely”, explains Takeshi.
Connectivity also allows, according to Takeshi, more agile and proactive action in relation to preventing failures, avoiding waste of resources, in addition to combating pests, correcting soil acidity and maintaining machines and equipment.
