Completing 25 years of success, Agrishow 2019 - International Agricultural Technology Fair in Action, which ended this Friday (3/5), recorded an increase in business between exhibitors and buyers of around 6,4% compared to last year, which represents a volume of R$2,9 billion. By segment, the intention to purchase machines is: grains, fruits and coffee (+5%), livestock (+4%), irrigation (+35%) and storage (-13%). For João Carlos Marchesan, president of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association (ABIMAQ), this was the best Agrishow of the last ten years. “We had the presence of the President of the Republic, the governor and several state ministers. With Agriculture 4.0, we are experiencing a true revolution, through robotics, artificial intelligence, the internet of things that, embedded in machines and implements, are significantly changing the daily lives of agribusiness and productivity in the field”, said Marchesan.
“In its Silver Jubilee, Agrishow 2019 further strengthened its reputation as an important agribusiness fair on a global level. This year, connectivity and technology were highlighted as allies to increase productivity and efficiency in the field and the incorporation of important segments of the production chain, such as the input area”, says Francisco Matturro, president of Agrishow.
The 20th International Business Round brought together 15 buyers from Argentina, Australia, Chile, Colombia, Ethiopia, Mexico, Nigeria and Peru, with 52 Brazilian companies, in a commercial promotion action that resulted in more than US$ 32.926 million, between closed and future deals for the next 12 months. This value represents an increase of 60% in relation to the same action carried out at Agrishow 2018. Called the Buyer Project, the International Business Round was organized by the Brazil Machinery Solutions Program, a partnership between the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil ) and ABIMAQ.
The next edition of Agrishow will be promoted from April 27th to May 1st, 2020.
