This year's edition of Agrishow will have a space specially designed for lectures and debates. Called the Knowledge Arena, it will be a stage for the presentation of new technologies, knowledge and trends, with the purpose of disseminating information relevant to the daily life of agribusiness. ABAG – Brazilian Agribusiness Association, one of the organizers of Agrishow, will promote, on May 3rd (Wednesday), from 13pm, the “Innovation Forum”, a cycle of eight lectures, which will be opened by the head general manager of Embrapa Instrumentação, Silvio Crestana.
The event, which will be closed by the president of ABAG, Luiz Carlos Corrêa Carvalho, will include a debate on various topics covered by different experts. Participating are André Salvador, from Bayer, who will address the topic of Integration Platform; Cristiano Pontelli, from Jacto, whose talk will be about Big Data; Almir Araujo Silva, from Basf, who will speak about the Startup Acceleration Program (AgroStart); André Pozza, from Syngenta, whose theme will be Integrated Solutions; Sileine Rodrigues, from Labware, with the lecture Technology from Field to Consumer: Guaranteeing Quality; Christian Mendonça, from Michelin, who will talk about Choosing the Right Tire to Increase Agricultural Productivity; and Alex Foessel, from John Deere, who will address the topic of Precision Agriculture.
Agrishow will be from May 1st to 5th, in Ribeirão Preto (SP) and is an initiative of the main entities in the segment in the country: Abag – Brazilian Agribusiness Association, Abimaq – Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry, You – National Association for Fertilizer Diffusion, faesp – Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo and SRB - Brazilian Rural Society. The event is organized byInforma Exhibitions, part of the Informa Group, one of the largest publicly traded promoters of fairs, conferences and training in the world.
Project Smart Farm brings rural producers closer to new digital technologies
Project created by five startups, specialized in agribusiness, will present the space at Agrishow 2017 “Smart Farm: the Future Has Arrived”, whose objective is to bring rural producers closer to new digital agriculture technologies that help in decision-making and also increase productivity in the field. The startups involved are: Agrosmart, Aegro, InCeres, Horus Aeronaves and SpecLab.
The idealization is the result of extensive research work carried out by the five companies, in addition to long experience of problems in the field. The solutions that will be presented are compatible with precision agriculture, crop monitoring systems, smart irrigation, use of drones, soil analysis, in addition to assisting in agricultural management and other cutting-edge technologies. In the “Intelligent Farm” space, lectures by experts will also be given, as well as success stories presented.
