Soybean prices rose again on the domestic market last week. Cepea researchers indicate that the impulse came from frequent rains in the main oilseed cultivation areas in Brazil, which have interrupted field work – in Paraná, some agents already indicate the need for replanting in part of the western and southwestern areas of the state.
Furthermore, appreciation in external futures contracts also reinforced the upward movement in prices in Brazil. In this case, the international advance was linked to estimates indicating a lower supply of soybeans in the United States.
