Producer class from north to south of Mato Grosso participates in Fundação MT em Campo
Fundação MT em Campo showed the results of research carried out by the entity and partner institutions
According to the Economic Information released this afternoon (06/02) by Emater/RS-Ascar in partnership with the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development (Seapdr), the farming phases are as follows: 24% in vegetative development, 33% in flowering, 42% in the grain filling phase and 1% mature and unharvested.
In the Santa Maria region, there are uneven areas, with low plant stands, which should negatively affect the production ceiling of crops. Losses remain stable due to improving weather conditions. And in the Ijuí region, the development of the crop this week took place under different conditions, depending on the availability of moisture in the soil. In areas where rainfall reached adequate volumes, the productivity outlook is close to that initially projected. In places where less rainfall occurred, soybeans show symptoms of water deficit, with wilted leaves in the afternoon, when temperatures rise. Crops quickly progress to the reproductive stage, with most of them currently flowering. Dry weather increases the incidence of mites and thrips. In Ijuí, the Institution's technicians have also observed an increase in the incidence of caterpillars. Symptoms of disease infection are low; Even so, producers continue phytosanitary treatments.
The rains during the period also contributed to improving the situation of corn crops in RS, but in some regions the losses are consolidated. The crop stages are as follows: 13% in germination and vegetative development, 11% in flowering, 22% in grain filling, 21% mature and 33% have already been harvested.
In the administrative region of Emater/RS-Ascar of Porto Alegre, due to the drought, significant losses are expected in both the productivity and quality of corn for silage, which should even affect the future performance of the animals. In the Pelotas region, sowing has been taking place in small areas with each rain. With development hampered by the drought, many crops originally intended for grains were switched to silage, which should result in a very low quality of the silage produced, thus interfering with dairy and meat production for the autumn-winter. In the Erechim region, there are losses in productivity and grain quality in crops destined for corn silage; 25% of the crops are in the grain filling phase and 75% have already been harvested.
The State's rice crops maintain a good state of development and in most producing regions water sources are currently adequately replenished. The crop is 38% in the germination/vegetative development phase, 31% in flowering, 26% in grain filling and 5% in maturation.
