Continuity of La Niña favors the current coffee harvest
The continuation of the drier climate, consequently with low relative humidity, may contribute to improving the quality of the coffee being harvested this season
The works at the C.Vale soybean crusher are progressing with the construction of the drainage system and the paving of the access roads, which should be fully completed by the end of July 2022. The start of construction of the hoppers, in March, gave the start of civil works for the project in the cooperative's industrial park, in Palotina (PR).
C.Vale will invest more than R$650 million in the project. The new venture will result in the creation of 580 direct and indirect jobs. Another 1.500 jobs will be created during the construction of the crusher.
During a visit to the works, the president of C.Vale, Alfredo Lang, explained that the industry will begin producing soybean meal and oil that will be used in the manufacture of feed. The volume that is not consumed will be sold to third parties in the domestic and foreign markets.
In March, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) released R$104 million to C.Vale as part of the resources for the construction of a soybean crusher. The resources originate from the Safra Plan, with R$84 million directly from BNDES and R$20 million from BRDE.
The industry will have the potential to produce up to 2.300 tons/day of bran, 600 tons of degummed vegetable oil (for feed production) and 36 tons of pelletized bark (also for animal feed).
The construction of the soybean crusher will involve 20 companies and generate 1.500 jobs.
