The values of the soybean complex fell on the Brazilian market last week. According to Cepea researchers, the pressure came from the external retreat of the oilseed. The appreciation of the dollar, however, limited the downward movement in Brazil.

In the United States, the proximity of the start of the 2022/23 harvest, which should be a record, and the advance of the dollar against a basket of currencies, which makes the North American product less attractive to importers, put pressure on soybean futures contracts .

As for Brazilian exports, in August, they totaled 6,16 million tons, according to data from Secex. This amount was 18% below the flow in July and 5% below that in August/21.
