Soy: overview of the week in Mato Grosso - 06/02/2023

Operations to harvest the 22/23 soybean crop in the state of Mato Grosso began this week. However, due to irregular rainfall, the general harvest scenario in the state is forecast for the second half of this month.

In regions with greater water deficits during the planting window, as in the case of municipalities in the east of the state, the harvest is forecast for February.

With the rise of the dollar in recent days, soybean prices have been under pressure in Chicago (CBOT). For the third session in a row, soybean futures negotiations at CBOT show lower prices, an aspect that caused a drop in oilseed prices in some regions of Brazil.

In general, during this week, the state of Mato Grosso showed a slight decrease in soybean prices.
