Soy gains inoculant with the highest concentration of bacteria on the market

Since 1971, working in the development and production of inoculants for soybeans, a market in which it is a leader in Brazil, the Vittia Group, based in São Joaquim da Barra (SP), focusing on the search for constant innovation, managed to produce the most concentrated peat inoculant on the market: Biomax Premium Peat Soy, with a guarantee of 8x10⁹ CFU/g. Inoculation is essential for increasing productivity in soybean crops, which, in the 2018/2019 harvest, according to Embrapa, was 3.206 kg/ha in the country.

Although most soybeans in Brazil are inoculated in liquid form in seed treatment, peat is still a vehicle widely used in seed treatment and also in direct application to the seeder box, which despite not being a method recommended by experts , many farmers opt for this form of use due to its operational ease. “Another advantage offered by Biomax Premium Peat Soy is the exclusive guarantee of the technology used for a period of eight months”, explains Viviane C. Martins Bordignon, Inoculant product manager at Vittia Group.

Annual soybean inoculation is essential to ensure the maximization of the biological nitrogen fixation process in the plant, allowing an increase in crop productivity. Another differential of Biomax Premium Peat Soy, whose license was obtained in August to replace the previous version with a concentration of 7,2x10⁹ UFC/g, is the registration of two formulations, the one with the species Bradyrhizobium japonicum and the one with Bradyrhizobium elkanii.
