Sowing activities for the new wheat season continue to advance in Brazil. If the weather favors, the national area should grow compared to 2019, because producers are stimulated by the heated demand and the exchange rate, which increases import parity.

As for the domestic market, according to Cepea employees, it continues to operate with restricted volume, and prices are firm. For derivatives, from May 18th to 22nd, in comparison with the average of the previous week, the prices of all flours rose. Regarding bran, Cepea employees point out that demand remains high, due to the demand for animal feed.
