Sotreq Agro has just announced its expansion as a representative of the Valtra brand and will also operate in the State of Pará. Previously, such a partnership had already been announced in the States of Mato Grosso and Rondônia. From now on, customers in the eastern region of Pará can now count on the technological and highly credible products of the Valtra brand, associated with the already well-known Sotreq standard of quality in service and support.
More than one hundred municipalities in the State of Pará will benefit from the new representation of equipment, parts and services. “At first, we will concentrate our agricultural activities at our Sotreq de Marabá branch. We understand that Marabá will be our first agro capital in Pará”, says Alexandre Bastos, Market Development manager at Sotreq and responsible for the company's Agro segment.
Credible brand
“The Valtra brand has a lot of credibility nationally and in the State of Pará it is no different”, says the manager. Valtra is of Finnish origin and brings maximum technology and robustness to its machinery, with a wide portfolio of tractors and sprayers.
The Sotreq branch in Marabá, located on the Transamazônica Highway, covers an area of 21 thousand square meters, and is beginning to undergo an adaptation process to become a unit dedicated 100% to agribusiness. Sotreq Agro, represented by Valtra, begins to participate in the entire agribusiness production process, which includes planting and harvesting.
New agricultural frontier
“The State of Pará is going through a movement to change the profile of agribusiness, with strong growth in agriculture. This makes us believe that Pará is Brazil's new agricultural frontier. We believe that the State will soon be one of the main grain producers in the country”, says Alexandre. The State still has a profile more linked to agriculture, but this is changing and today Pará is beginning to stand out in the production of soybeans and corn.
