For some years now, Bahian agribusiness has been standing out on the national scene. Agriculture is one of the bases of the State's economy and only grows with the entry of new processes and the use of technologies, in addition to the increase in exports. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, five products, which led national agricultural production, should continue to stand out in the coming years. This group includes: soybeans, sugar cane, corn, cotton and coffee.

Together, they generated 80% of the gross production value of crops. It is in this context that Bahia continues to benefit, after all the State has large producers in these segments. Betting on this potential, Ubyfol, a Brazilian multinational that develops special fertilizers, will take its technology portfolio to the Bahia Farm Show, which takes place from May 28th to June 1st, in Luís Eduardo Magalhães.

According to Luciano Colli, RTV Ubyfol, Bahia has several hectares of arable land, with the West region being the leader in production, and also the grains hub for the entire Northeast. “Because it has a varied agriculture, this region stands out in grain and fiber crops, as well as products such as coffee, cassava, and fruits such as banana, papaya, mango, passion fruit and coconut”, says the professional.

Among the solutions for grains, especially soybeans and corn, highlights include Potamol, Kymon, MN20RR, N32, Induction and Copper Aminophosphite. The flagship product will be the Disperse Ultra adjuvant, an ideal product for mixing applications between agrochemicals. Provides maximum use of nutrients and pesticides in agricultural spraying, through the following actions: spreading, adhesive, surfactant, anti-drift, penetrating and humectant, in addition to acting as a foam reducer.

This will be the second time that the company has participated in the event. In addition to the special products, a team of technicians and professionals will be available to answer questions and guide producers. “The adoption of conservation practices by Bahian farmers is of great importance for the sustainability of the activity. In this scenario where they seek technologies and innovations that add productivity to their activity, Ubyfol is at their side, presenting products with nutritional efficiency, which guarantee profitability and quality to their production”, adds José Nascimento, Commercial Director.

Characteristics of the region

Bahia, mainly the west of the state, is a region characterized by sandy soils with low natural fertility, highly susceptible to erosion due to the concentration of rain during the harvest, but with good physical conditions for agriculture. Due to these characteristics, producers have developed technology over the years, and made agriculture in the region highly productive.

Among the tools for obtaining productive ceilings in the crops of interest, it is possible to mention several factors: use of modern machinery, soil conservation techniques, efficient phytosanitary management, choice of seeds with high productive potential and adapted to the cultivation region, and complete nutritional management, including basic and complementary fertilization. “Crops require nutritional balance to express their full productive potential, especially in regions of low natural fertility”, says Ana Maria Bonatti, coordinator of the Technical Department at Ubyfol.

The fair

Luís Eduardo Magalhães, headquarters of the Bahia Farm Show, is among the 10 main producing municipalities in the State. The event is considered the largest agricultural technology fair in the North and Northeast of the country, and is expected to generate more than R$1 billion in business. “For Ubyfol, it is the ideal meeting point to consolidate the portfolio in western Bahia, as several farmers, large companies and agribusiness professionals are welcomed to the opportunity”, says Nascimento.

drone raffle

Ubyfol also prepared a surprise for producers, the draw of a drone for visitors who liked the company's Facebook page and posted a photo in public mode recording the moment of their visit to the stand during the fair with the tag #UbyfolnaBahiaFarmShow. The rules will be published on the company's social networks.
