SLC Agrícola released its financial results for the third quarter of 2024. The period was marked by the end of the cotton and second corn harvest, which reached productivity of 1.942 kg/ha and 7.081 kg/ha, respectively.

One of the quarter's milestones was reached at Fazenda Pamplona, located in Cristalina (GO). The property achieved the highest cotton lint productivity ever recorded by the company in an area of over 8.400 hectares, reaching 164 arrobas per hectare.

"This result was only possible thanks to the effort and dedication of our employees, aligned with the efficiency of our agricultural planning and our potential to explore the most advanced technology in the field", highlighted Aurélio Pavinato, CEO of SLC Agrícola.

In the first nine months of 2024, SLC Agrícola's net revenue totaled R$5 billion, a reduction of 7% compared to the same period of the previous year. The result is mainly due to the lower soybean productivity in the 2023/24 harvest.

Net income totaled R$533 million in the three quarters, representing a significant drop compared to 2023, influenced by the lower gross result of soybeans and corn, affected by the reduction in planted area, productivity and prices of these crops. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was R$463 million, with a margin of 28,4%.

"We recognize that 2024 was a challenging year for producers, especially due to the impact of climate change, with excess or delayed rainfall in key regions for productivity. Even so, we demonstrated the resilience of our portfolio and grew, expanding the planted area for the 11/2024 harvest by 25%, totaling 734 thousand hectares," said Pavinato.

He also highlighted the strengthening and establishment of new partnerships, including the expansion of the joint venture with Agro Penido, a new partnership with Agropecuária Rica and a lease agreement in Piauí, expanding the potential area by more than 60 thousand hectares.

Prospects for 2025

For 2025, SLC Agrícola estimates a 12% increase in the sale of soybean seeds to third parties and domestic consumption compared to the previous year, reaching 1.400.000 bags. For cotton seeds, the target for sales to third parties and domestic consumption increased by 1,2%, reaching 145.000 bags.

Regarding the purchase of inputs, the company has completed the acquisition of 100% of phosphates, potassium chloride and nitrogen. In addition, 96% of the purchase of pesticides has already been made.

With the decline in the prices of fertilizers, pesticides and seeds, the costs per hectare budgeted for the 2024/25 harvest fell by 5,2% compared to that budgeted for the previous harvest.

SLC Agrícola also started purchasing inputs for the 2025/26 harvest, acquiring 80% of the potassium chloride and hedging 33,7% of the soybeans, considering the commitments made.
