Present among the most relevant institutions in Brazil in research, development and technological incentives for coffee farming, the Procafé Foundation, in Varginha, in the south of Minas Gerais, promotes the Online Field Day event between the 3rd and 5th of August. Companies from different segments will come together in the digital environment, to present innovations and launches for coffee management to the crop production chain. Sipcam Nichino Brasil brings to its virtual space a wide portfolio of solutions for coffee producers.

Of Italian-Japanese origin, Sipcam Nichino will highlight the acaricide Fujimite 50 SC, the insecticide Trebon 100 SC, in addition to its portfolio of fungicides and a complete line of biostimulants, to promote coffee productivity, consisting of the products Abyss, Blackjak, Stilo Green and Nutex Premium.

According to agronomist Sérgio Camargo, from Sipcam Nichino's market development area, the acaricide Fujimite 50 SC controls ringspot (Brevipalpus phoenicis) and red (Otyghonichus ilicis) mites. “Ideal for IPM or integrated pest management, Fujimite 50 SC acts through contact and ingestion, is selective to the crop and also to insects beneficial to the coffee plant”, summarizes Sérgio.

The insecticide Trebon 100 SC, he highlights, has been a strategic tool for controlling the coffee borer (Hypothenemus hampei), whose potential to transfer losses to the producer is high. “The insecticide works immediately after being applied and controls over 80% of the insect population, once applied as soon as the pest is detected in the crop.”

Also according to Sérgio Camargo, the biostimulants Abyss, Blackjak, Stilo Verde and Nutex Premium deliver more vigor to coffee plants, especially in the face of environmental conditions that culminate in stress or nutritional deficiency of plants. Studies by Sipcam Nichino's technical team, he reports, have shown that, in different crops, water stress, for example, leads to significant potential losses in productivity and profitability for the coffee grower.
