Sipcam Nichino adds Volcane herbicide to its portfolio

Agreement with Luxembourg Industries expands supply for cotton and sugarcane.

Sipcam Nichino Brasil has signed a commercial synergy agreement with Luxembourg Industries Ltd. The partnership includes the incorporation of Volcane herbicide to the company's portfolio in the country. The product contains hydrogen sodium methylarsonate (MSMA, CAS 2163-80-6) as the active ingredient.

Volcane has a well-established use in cotton and sugarcane crops. Companies highlight the importance of this input for the sugar and ethanol sector.

Sipcam Nichino expands its offering of solutions for strategic crops. The herbicide will now be integrated into a technological platform with more than 45 products. The line includes agricultural pesticides, growth regulators, and biostimulants.

According to Leandro Martins, director of marketing and strategic planning, the company intends to expand the use of the product. The company is investing in research and development. The goal includes expanding applications to other crops.

Martins also mentions a focus on weed resistance management. The strategy seeks to consolidate the herbicide among tools supporting agronomic management.

For Luxembourg Industries Ltd., the partnership expands Volcane's presence in the Brazilian market. The commercial director in Brazil, Fernando Vicente, states that the synergy between the companies increases access to the product.

Vicente highlights Sipcam Nichino's extensive reach in the agricultural frontier. The executive points to favorable conditions for serving sugarcane and cotton producers.

Luxembourg also reports investments in Brazil. The company conducts commercial and technological cooperation initiatives with agribusiness companies and agricultural research institutes.
