Study shows food additive lactisole reduces food preference
Reinforcing its commitment to disseminating technical information and promoting good practices in the field for the correct and safe use of agricultural pesticides, the National Union of the Plant Protection Products Industry (Sindiveg) developed, in partnership with the National Rural Learning Service (Senar) and CropLife Brasil, a free online course on the use of backpack sprayers. The material was prepared in alignment with the guidelines set forth in Decree No. 10.833/2021, which institutes the “Legal Applicator” program.
The technical content was constructed based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and seeks to contribute to the future training of professionals in the area, with a focus on updated and safe practices, aligned with current legislation.
“The backpack sprayer, used in different contexts such as crops and gardens, can be operated by manual or motorized pressure and requires specific care during use,” explains Sindiveg’s regulatory affairs manager, Fábio Kagi. “This new module covers all stages of the process, from product preparation and correct handling of the equipment to guidelines for uniform and safe application.”
According to Isabela Rivato, Sindiveg's Analyst for Correct and Safe Use, the course was developed through careful technical work, based on a broad literature review, analysis of reference materials and alignment with the guidelines established by the current ordinance. “The development of the content involved several stages, such as defining pedagogical approaches, preparing scripts, recording in the field and editing videos,” she explains.
Isabela emphasizes that the result is a material that can make a difference in the daily lives of rural applicators. “Although the issuance of certificates is not yet available, the course allows professionals to anticipate the requirements that will soon be adopted by MAPA,” she highlights.
The new content is available on Sindiveg's free online course platform, created to meet the growing demand for information on the safety of agricultural pesticides. The platform aims to disseminate good practices in the use of these products, contributing to productive and sustainable agriculture.
“In general, the training available on the platform is aimed at farmers, beekeepers and other agents in the agricultural sector, with a focus on the technical and professional improvement of these audiences”, points out the regulatory affairs manager at Sindiveg.
