Biotalys NV reduces capital, but continues operating
Shareholders of the Belgian biological products company reduced share capital; company has patent and trademark applications in Brazil; there are partnerships with Novozymes, Olon and Kwizda Agro
The Secretary of Agrarian Development of Pernambuco, Cláudio Asfora (photo), signed a cooperation agreement between Bahia and Pernambuco in the area of phytosanitary protection. The agreement highlights the composition of the São Francisco Valley of common areas between the states, which assume a prominent position on the national scene due to the fruit production capacity, important for reaching international markets.
Normative Instruction No. 45, of August 29, 2006, from the Secretariat of Agricultural Defense of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply – MAPA, which created the phytosanitary protection area of the São Francisco Valley, comprises municipalities in both states, with the objective of reducing the risk of introducing pests, ensuring the continued creation of jobs, the retention of people in the countryside and the improvement of quality of life.
The signing ceremony was attended by the president of the Pernambuco Agronomic Institute (IPA), Bartolomeu Monteiro, the president of the Pernambuco Agricultural Defense and Inspection Agency (Adagro), Paulo Roberto Lima, the president of the Land and Reform Institute Agrária – ITERPE, Henrique Queiroz, ValeExport vice-president Ricardo Almeida and Moscamed representative Jair Virgílio.
