Sicredi will provide more than R$ 20,1 billion in rural credit in the 2019/2020 Harvest Plan, projecting to reach more than 220 thousand operations – the value represents a 21% growth in resources granted in the previous harvest year (R$ 16,6 .XNUMX billion until last May).

Of the amount for this new cycle, the expectation of the cooperative financial institution is to make R$ 17,5 billion available in funding, commercialization and investment operations, in addition to R$ 2,6 billion in targeted resources, coming from BNDES (National Development Bank). Economic and Social) and the FCO (Constitutional Fund of the Central West).

“Rural credit is fundamental for agricultural sustainability. By opting for Sicredi, the member obtains the necessary financing for their rural enterprise and contributes to their cooperative, also benefiting from the possibility of returning results and boosting the socioeconomic development of the local community”, highlights Gustavo Freitas, executive director of Banco Cooperativo Sicredi.

Traditionally, Sicredi has a strong presence in Brazilian agribusiness, being among the main financiers of the activity. “Our work reinforces the relevance of the sector, which accounts for around 25% of GDP and is at the roots of our foundation, in 1902”, emphasizes Freitas. In the 2019/2020 Harvest Plan, small and medium-sized rural producers continue to be the main profiles served by the institution – in the previous cycle, 80% of the operations carried out were aimed at these audiences.

Through disbursements from the National Program for Strengthening Family Farming (Pronaf), with resources from BNDES, Sicredi has strongly supported family farming. To give you an idea, between January and December 2018, the institution carried out approximately 20 thousand investment operations, totaling more than R$1,2 billion via Pronaf. As a result, it was the financial agent with the largest volume of resources and operations in this category last year with resources from the development bank – also occupying 1st place in indirect operations in the Pronamp, Inovagro and Moderagro lines.

Sicredi is already receiving financing proposals for the 2019/2020 Harvest Plan, which runs until the end of June next year. Before requesting credit, the associated rural producer must plan the next harvest – what will be planted, what is the cultivation area and the necessary budget based on soil analysis and under technical guidance regarding the use of inputs and other services that will be used. Then, armed with all this information, you can contact your agency to proceed with the proposal and other procedures for approval and release of credit.
