Showtec debates planting techniques and shows technologies for controlling pests, diseases and invasive plants

Considered the biggest agribusiness event in Mato Grosso do Sul, this year's Showtec will take place between January 16th and 18th, in the city of Maracajú (MS). The meeting will bring together companies and farmers to discuss agribusiness challenges and new technologies for the Cerrado. The company Nufarm informs that during Showtec it will set up demonstration fields, with the aim of showing benefits transferred by the brand's agrochemicals to MS crops. 

The company also presents its Nufarm Care program at Showtec, focused on the safe and sustainable use of the brand's agrochemicals.

From Nufarm's portfolio of technologies, the insecticides Carnadine, Inside FS and Kaiso will be highlighted in Maracaju; the herbicides ZethaMaxx and Crucial and the fungicides Manfil and Rivax.

Recently launched by the Australian company, the insecticide Carnadine is already emerging as an input for controlling whiteflies in the Cerrado, according to Trade Marketing coordinator and agronomist Tiago Zotti. He points out that Carnadine is also the only acetamiprid on the market available in a liquid formulation.

Zotti adds that another Nufarm insecticide, Inside FS, for seed treatment, “acts effectively in controlling the main initial pests of cotton, corn and soybean crops, including stink bug and leafhopper.” According to the agronomist, in corn cultivation results of the product in the field indicate gains of up to 10 bags per hectare, compared to standard treatment.

The agronomist also highlights that the Kaiso insecticide completes the Australian company's portfolio for controlling soybean insect pests, acting on different caterpillars, whiteflies and stink bugs.

In the area of ​​herbicides, Nufarm brings to Showtec recent results obtained with the application of ZethaMaxx and Crucial products. The first, notes Zotti, controls a broad spectrum of herbs that compete with soybeans, such as horseweed, bitter grass, chicken foot grass, trapoeraba and viola string. “The Crucial product also has a broad spectrum of control and provides a faster effect compared to other glyphosates, especially during rainy periods”, says the agronomist.

From the Australian company's line of fungicides, Showtec visitors will learn more about the brands Manfil and Rivax, both recommended for managing resistance to systemic fungicides. In soybeans, highlights Zotti, Rivax works to control end-of-cycle diseases (CFDs). “Data obtained in the field also indicates that this product transfers gains of up to 10 bags per hectare, depending on the cultivar, compared to standard treatment”, concludes Tiago Zotti.
