The Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) is promoting, starting today (17), a series of regional meetings with rural producers, unions and federations to raise the sector's proposals for the Agricultural and Livestock Plan (PAP) for the 2025/2026 cycle.
The objective of the meetings, which will be coordinated by the National Agricultural Policy Commission of the CNA, is to discuss the main needs and particularities of producers in relation to rural credit, marketing support policies, capital markets and risk management instruments.
The first meeting takes place today (17), in Florianópolis (SC), bringing together demands from the South region. The next debate takes place on Thursday (20), in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), with producers from the Southeast region.
The proposals from the Central-West region will be raised on Friday (21), in Cuiabá (MT), from the North region on March 28, in Belém (PA), and from the Northeast region on April 2, in Irecê (BA). The location and date of the meeting with producers from Matopiba (Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia) will still be announced.
All suggestions will be consolidated in a document that will be delivered to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and other federal government authorities as a contribution to the preparation of the Agricultural and Livestock Plan (PAP) 2025/2026.
