Senasa coordinates new treatments to contain locust clouds

The National Service for Health and Agro-food Quality (Senasa) coordinated on Thursday, July 2, together with the province of Corrientes (AR), the treatments carried out on 115 hectares to reduce the cloud of locusts established near Paraje El Descanso ( AIR).

In the morning, aerial applications were made. A team went on horseback to the cloud's landing site to corroborate the results of the treatment, which managed to reduce the pest's density.

Until the afternoon, the teams were located at different points to visualize a possible flight of the remaining cloud, which ultimately did not occur.

This Friday, July 3, Senasa teams will continue to monitor the area.
