Sicredi makes R$50,6 billion available for the 2022/2023 harvest
The expectation is to carry out around 272 thousand agribusiness promotion operations in the new cycle
The National Rural Learning Service (Senar) and Banco do Brasil made official, on Tuesday (05/07), the Technical Cooperation Agreement for the implementation of the Agro Training Circuit, a series of events to address topics such as technical matters, management and rural credit.
The partnership was formalized between the president of the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) and the Senar Deliberative Council, João Martins, and the president of Banco do Brasil, Fausto de Andrade Ribeiro, during the announcement of the 2022/2023 Harvest Plan of the financial institution, in Brasília.
The objective of the circuit is to train rural producers in 25 states. 2022 events are scheduled for 300, with each meeting lasting eight hours with groups of between 25 and 30 participants. Senar's Technical and Management Assistance (ATeG) will be presented to participants.
According to the general director of Senar, Daniel Carrara, the majority of rural producers served by ATeG use their own resources to finance the activity and the partnership with the Bank will bring more information about management and access to credit lines.
“The initiative will include our producers in this movement of official rural credit, in which the resources offered have the most affordable rates on the market. With service in the field, producers who take credit from the Bank will be able to meet production and productivity targets and, consequently, honor their financial commitments”, said Carrara.
The president of BB, Fausto Ribeiro, stated that the objective of the Agro Training Circuit is to bring knowledge and technical training to family farmers and multiply access to new technologies, such as planting techniques, soil quality and crop rotation. “It is by promoting the combination of theory and practice, providing examples and guidance, that we contribute to the growth of rural families’ incomes.”
The events began in February and end in December 2022. Until July 2, 47 circuits were held in the states of Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, and Santa Catarina.
The fruit growing couple Elza Serafim de Andrade and Almir Rodrigues de Andrade, from the municipality of Gandú, in Bahia, were honored at the ceremony for having received technical training on rural credit and cocoa cultivation. “Senar has always been by our side, giving us the greatest strength. Everything we have was achieved with the help of Senar, Banco do Brasil and Coopag Alimentos”, said Elza.
Another honoree was beekeeper and milk producer Claudiomar Silvério de Sousa, from the municipality of Jaraguá, in Goiás. He is already a regular participant in Senar training, with more than 50 courses. Claudiomar found out about the Agro Training Circuit from the Senar coach and didn't miss the opportunity. “The more we can learn, the better.”
Those interested in participating in the circuits should contact the rural unions in the municipalities or the state Senate. Places are limited.
