On November 28th and 29th, Brasília will host the International Seminar on Losses in Grain Storage and Transport, held by the National Supply Company (Conab). The event takes place in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The objective of the meeting is to discuss ways to reduce grain loss in the post-harvest period. The action meets the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which aims to reduce food waste per capita worldwide by half, at retail and consumer level. There is also the intention to reduce food loss throughout the production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses. The meeting will also provide discussion on possible methodologies for reducing losses.

The event is open to researchers and audiences interested in the topic, but with limited places. To participate, you must fill out the registration form and submit it by Friday (23). If there are remaining places, they will be reopened on the day of the event.
