Brazilian agtech Seedz has taken another step forward in its purpose of contributing to the development of agribusiness and society. Through partnerships with financial institutions, investors and fintechs, Seedz aims to offer financial solutions in a simplified way and has just launched Seedz Crédito, a financing line for industries, input distributors, machinery and equipment dealers and for the rural producer. Initially, the offers will be aimed exclusively at the company's customers in its relationship programs.
The new credit alternative for industries and resellers focuses on helping the company's working capital, anticipating the value of receivables and also supporting risk mitigation. For rural producers, the solution is appropriate for financing crop costs, purchasing agricultural inputs, machinery, implements, among others.
Juliano Vizin, head of financial operations at Seedz, explains that the main differences in relation to traditional financing are: less bureaucracy and rates more suited to the client's risk profile. “We simplify access to credit, without wasting time and money and without bureaucracy. With low cost, transparency, IOF exemption and adequate deadline for the harvest cycle”, he highlights.

Credit limits will be available on the agtech platform, where users are already in the habit of accessing. For those registered as Seedz Force - industries and input distributors - it is possible to obtain approval of credit limits for both your business and your entire customer base, which will be available for consultation even before sales take place. And for rural producers, Seedz Fidelidade customers, financing will be available through the advance of their CPR (Rural Product Certificate).
Pre-registration and requirements
The person responsible for Seedz's financial operations reminds that interested parties must register on the page http://incentivo.seedz.ag/credito-seedz and disbursements are scheduled from September 2022.
For those who meet the prerequisites, the company's specialists will contact you for more information and approval of the credit limit.
After a stipulated period of 10 days, the approved amount will be returned, with terms, price and guarantees. “Once approved, the borrower will be directed to the formalization process and, when completed, the release will occur immediately within the aforementioned period”, he adds.
Rural producers can count on "Seedz Crédito" as an alternative to finance crop costs, with extended terms of up to 540 days, matched to the cycle of the financed crop. As long as the minimum requirements are met, such as active CAR, production on Brazilian soil declared in IR and without market restrictions, protests or legal proceedings, you will have a new recurring source of resources to assist your cash flow season after season.
For companies operating in the agribusiness segment, which must also meet the minimum requirements, Seedz will offer financial solutions to anticipate cash flow, mitigate risk or differentiated accounting treatment.
Why rural credit is important
Brazilian agribusiness GDP reached successive records in 2020 and 2021, years of crisis in many other sectors due to the pandemic. In 2022, it is estimated that the segment's participation in the economy will be around 26,24%, according to data from Cepea from Esalq/USP, in partnership with CNA (Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil).
Crucial in terms of economic growth, agribusiness requires that farmers, ranchers and agricultural companies seek constant investment and strengthening their businesses to remain competitive.
In this sense, credit is an essential input for the functioning of the sector, due to the high need for capital and long production period. “Seedz, with this, is differentiating itself in the market by offering a financial solution that enables the increase in sales of its partners”, concludes the head of financial operations at agtech.
