In order to ensure that trucks take quality products from the countryside to the city without setbacks, the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Aquaculture (Seagro), Jaime Café, the president of the Tocantinense Transport and Works Agency (Ageto), Márcio Pinheiro, and the president of the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Tocantins (Aprosoja-TO), Dari Fronza, met this Thursday morning, the 13th, at Ageto's headquarters, in Palmas. On this occasion, some of the main road sections that need to be recovered on an emergency basis were listed and evaluated to ensure the flow of agricultural production, which is scheduled to begin in 20 days.
“Efficiency in the flow of agricultural production in Tocantins depends on good traffic conditions on rural and study roads. We are here together looking for alternatives to put into practice joint work and ensure that sections with greater vehicle traffic receive improvements”, highlighted Café.
According to the president of Ageto, the Tocantins government has already intensified works and repairs in several critical sites, even with the heavy rains of the last few days. In the main flow routes, close to areas producing grains and other foodstuffs, recovery will begin as soon as possible, after a detailed survey of each section and in partnership with producers.
“We have chaotic stretches and we need specific interventions, for example, on TO-080, TO-235, among others”, detailed the president of Aprosoja, also requesting cleaning and mowing on the sides of the highways.
“The improvement of roads directly reflects on the behavior of the economy and Governor Wanderlei Barbosa is attentive to this situation. By recovering access to outlets for family production, we are contributing greatly to the development of the regions”, reinforced secretary Jaime Café.
Producers associated with Aprosoja also participated in the meeting, the director of Agriculture, Agribusiness and Livestock at Seagro, José Américo, and the agrometeorology manager at Seagro, Denise Coelho.
