The role of the researcher of the future in the agricultural sector will focus debates between rural producers and researchers at the Embrapa Meio-Norte Scientific Journey, in its fourth version, on the 14th and XNUMXth of this month, in Teresina. The debates will take place during the round table Agriculture in the Mid-North: the vision of today's producers for researchers of the future, starting at XNUMX pm on the tenth.
Moderated by researcher Eugênio Emérito Araújo, the round table will be debated by Miguel Ítalo Cavalcante, a producer of blackleg chickens in the Teresina region; Jean de Pinho Mendes, milk producer on the coastal tablelands, in the municipality of Parnaíba; and Dino Sani Almeida, manager of the Celeiro Sementes farm, in the municipality of Bom Jesus.
Three lectures will also drive the event, which will open at 8:30 am on the ninth. Professor Vinícius Ponte Machado, from the Federal University of Piauí, opens the series of lectures talking about Concepts and applications in machine learning. In the afternoon, starting at 14 pm, researcher Aderson Andrade Júnior, from Embrapa Meio-Norte, will talk about the use of drones in agriculture.
On Wednesday 10th, starting at 8 am, professor Carla Eiras, from the Federal University of Piauí, will give the third and final lecture on the theme Nanotechnology: from concept to market. The IV Scientific Journey of Embrapa Meio-Norte brings together 46 works, including abstracts and posters. The works are scientific initiation for undergraduate, master's and doctoral students who participate in projects led by researchers from the Unit.
On both days, there will be an oral presentation of the work and poster sessions. Eight photographs will also participate in a competition focusing on creativity in scientific research. Two hundred and forty-nine people, including students, teachers and researchers, are registered, according to the event coordinator, researcher Teresa Viola.
