Science Center for Development in Digital Agriculture opens postdoctoral position

Candidate must have experience in analyzing public policies aimed at sustainable rural development

A FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship is available through the project “Science Center for Development in Digital Agriculture (CCD-AD/SemeAr)”. Registrations can be submitted until Monday (01/05).

Headquartered at Embrapa Digital, in Campinas, CCD-AD/SemeAr is one of FAPESP's Science for Development Centers (CCDs) and focuses on research and innovation in digital solutions for the inclusion of small and medium-sized rural producers.

The scholarship holder will work at the Higher School of Agriculture of the University of São Paulo (Esalq-USP), in Piracicaba, which is a partner of the center. He will be responsible for interpretation and qualitative analyzes (legislation, spatial data, etc.), coordination with different sectors and preparation of reports and publications.

The position requires experience in analyzing public policies aimed at sustainable rural development, as well as high skill in writing technical and scientific texts. Experience at the interface between agriculture and the environment is desirable, with the ability to coordinate between different actors, such as researchers, government and producers. In addition, the candidate must have completed a doctorate in the last seven years.

The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship worth R$ 8.479,20 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
