Rural producers and large agribusiness companies have increasingly seen the advantages of acquiring assets through online auctions. In addition to the lower prices, practicality is a great attraction, as it is possible to bid from anywhere and at any time.

According to a survey carried out by Superbid Marketplace, a platform with solutions and multiple types of online transactions, the sale of agricultural machinery through auctions on the platform more than doubled in the first quarter of 2019, compared to the same period of the previous year. . The highlight is agricultural tractors, which grew by 120%.

Of the agricultural machinery auctioned in the first three months of the year, 62,9% were tractors, followed by harvesters, agricultural trailers and planters, which, together, account for 33,3% of the category's auctions.

The survey also showed that 76,3% of buyers are individuals, more than half aged between 30 and 49 years old. The remaining 24% of buyers are companies that acquire assets, mainly for fleet renewal.

According to the CEO of MaisAtivo, the Superbid Group's intermediation company, Paulo Scaff, the Brazilian agribusiness scenario in 2019 is optimistic. “With the recovery of the Brazilian economy, even if slow, and the growth in agribusiness GDP projected for 2% in the year by the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA), it is natural that the sale of agricultural machinery will increase even more. Furthermore, according to data from the National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea), domestic wholesale sales of agricultural and road machinery in the first quarter of 2019 are already 23,5% higher compared to the same period last year".

Given Superbid's extensive operations throughout the national territory, which facilitates negotiation and optimizes sales time, the company also listed the best-selling agricultural machines by region. In all regions, tractors were at the top of the ranking, with the exception of the Northeast, where there was a tie with Harvesters.

In the Southeast, where there is the largest number of buyers and assets offered, harvesters were the second most sold type of machine, as well as in the Central-West. In the South and North, second place went to agricultural trailers.

Furthermore, the company guarantees its partners (customers and suppliers) that the entire sales process respects compliance and corporate governance standards.
