Abrapa celebrates inauguration of new management and milestones in cotton farming
Gustavo Piccoli takes over as president of the association on January 1, 2025
Scheduled to take place over three days, from January 16 to 18, including a Saturday for the first time, the 35th edition of Safratec, promoted by Cocamar Cooperativa Agroindustrial at its Technology Diffusion Unit (UDT) on PR-317 in Floresta, Maringá region (PR), presents a series of new features.
Recognized as a highly technological event with many innovations, the show brings a summary of the businesses offered by the cooperative to producers, an exhibition of machinery from the Cocamar Máquinas/John Deere dealership, technical stations with practical demonstrations, presentations of the portfolio of dozens of companies that manufacture chemical products from the most important brands on the market, technical lectures and social spaces.
With the machinery concentrated in a large area, visitors will also be able to see the Viridian line of fertilizers and adjuvants, the modern solar energy generation systems sold by Cocamar Energia, the irrigation structures with central pivots resulting from a partnership with Lindsay (one of the largest companies in the sector worldwide) and a business counter with opportunities for the acquisition of inputs and implements under special negotiation conditions.
Four stations are being prepared by the cooperative, with the participation of research institutions and institutions that promote technological development.
One of them, on weed management, with the presentation of herbicides in launch and pre-emergent; another, water, soil and nematode management with cover crops (result of a partnership with the Paraná Rural Development Institute – IDR/PR); a third focused on the management of diseases in soybean crops, with researchers from the Department of Agronomy at the State University of Maringá (UEM) and, lastly, irrigation, with the participation of specialists from Lindsay.
All this without mentioning the Cooperativism Space, always with attractions, where early cuts of meat produced by Cocamar will be sold, and the exhibition of trucks, vehicles and companies from various other segments.
The organizers have included Saturday as an additional option for producers and the general public to visit a fair full of attractions that, due to its content, is among the most important in Brazilian cooperatives. The expectation is that more than seven thousand people from Paraná and neighboring states will visit the UDT, from 8 am to 17 pm, with free admission.
