ADAMA's Cronnos fungicide was nominated by the Rust Network Consortium led by Embrapa, for the third consecutive year, as the best product for controlling Asian rust in soybean crops across the country.
Composed of the main research institutions in Brazil, the Consortium evaluates fungicides individually and in sequential applications, to determine the control efficiency of this crop's main disease. The results showed that the treatment with Cronnos achieved a higher percentage of control, with 81% efficiency. The product's action also indicated 3.416 kg/ha in crop productivity, the highest number among the commercial fungicides evaluated.
“Cronnos was the only fungicide tested by the Consortium with efficiency above 80%. Furthermore, the product showed an increase of 7 percentage points from 2020 to 2021 (going from 74% to 81% efficiency). This is due to the exclusive combination of active ingredients added to an innovative formulation, which guarantees more stability and effective combat against Asian rust”, explains Gerson Dalla Corte, Product Manager, responsible for fungicides at the company.
Cronnos has exclusive T.O.V. technology, a name that summarizes its main benefits: Formulation technology, Simplified operation, Value for the farmer. Cronnos' formulation promotes greater adherence to soybean leaves; stands out for its ease of application; no risk of clogging spray nozzles; high effectiveness in combating the main soybean diseases and superior crop productivity responses.
“This is a recent product on the market, it was launched in 2018 and since then it has been positively surprising with significant results in soybean crops across the country. It is a source of pride to have a solution that exceeds expectations and fully meets the needs of producers” , concludes Corte.
To combat Asian soybean rust, EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) created the Anti-Rust Consortium* in 2004, focusing on relevant technologies. At the same time, there was also the creation of the Network Consortium formed by a series of cooperative trials for fungicide testing, conducted by the main public and private research institutions in Brazil, and is today the main technical reference for Brazilian farmers.
