“New Horizons for Rural Succession”: this will be the theme that will guide the actions at Espaço Casa da Emater within the program of the 22nd Expaogro Afubra, an event that takes place between Tuesday and Friday (19 to 22/03), in Rincão Del Rey, Rio Pardo. Emater/RS has prepared 20 thematic installments, spread over an area of 15.500m², which will address various issues related to the diversification of productive activities, income generation, quality of life, care for the environment and, of course, the young person's permanence in the field.
The rural extensionist and coordinator of Espaço Casa da Emater, Matias Mauri Streck, highlights that the chosen theme dialogues with the proposal of bringing to visitors the dissemination of technologies adapted to rural people, with relevant information that can encourage young people to invest in agriculture . “We know that this is a cross-cutting theme and that it does not concern this or that area specifically, and it is important to equip younger producers to see the potential that exists in rural areas”, he highlights.
The Casa da Emater Space will also highlight a wide variety of activities, from beekeeping to Rural Tourism, including fruit growing, dairy farming, yerba mate production and rural crafts.
It is expected that around 50 thousand people will pass through the Institution's space, a diverse audience of farmers, ranchers, students, researchers, tourists from Brazil and abroad, exhibitors and businesspeople, among others. “For the year 2024 we are consolidating the remodeling that began in the 2023 edition in partnership with Afubra”, says Streck, explaining that the work on the themes is also in accordance with the programs and projects contracted with the Government of Rio Grande do Sul. South.
