FCO Rural: more than R$77 million approved in November

At its 395th meeting, the Deliberative Chamber of the State Development Council (CDE) approved 61 letters of consultation, authorizing the capture of R$77,3 million from the rural line of the Constitutional Financing Fund for the Central-West (FCO Rural). The amount will be allocated to rural properties located in 40 municipalities in Goiás which, in return, will invest R$ 10,5 million of their own resources in soybean and corn production activities and in beef and dairy cattle farming.

The municipalities of Jataí and Mineiros, in the southwest of the state, will receive the largest share of investments, which, in general, will be allocated mainly to matrices, machines and implements, in addition to soil correction. The expectation is that, with the investment, 97 direct jobs will be created, in properties that are mostly small and small-medium sized.

For Seapa's Rural Production Superintendent, Patrícia Honorato, who represented Seapa at the CDE meeting, FCO Rural plays a crucial role in boosting the economic and social development of Goiás.

“The approved resources, combined with the counterpart from the proponents, totaling more than R$87 million in investments, have the potential to generate substantial impacts on agricultural activities, contributing not only to the strengthening of rural enterprises, but also to the boost of the entire local economy”, he highlights.
