More than R$251 billion in rural credit, referring to the 2023/24 harvest, which began on July 1, 2023, was contracted until December. The data are from Ocepar's Technical Development Management, based on data from the Central Bank of Brazil. “This means that more than 57% of the resources made available for the 2023/24 harvest, that is, R$435,8 billion, have already been raised”, highlights Getec analyst, Salatiel Turra.

Regarding sources, the largest portion of these resources comes from Free Resources (52%), followed by mandatory resources (22%), rural savings (10%), constitutional funds (7%), BNDES (6%) and LCA ( 3%).

Cooperativism

Brazilian cooperatives raised approximately R$27,44 billion from July to December 2023. The distribution of these resources was mainly intended for industrialization and funding, investment and commercialization activities, respectively. Cooperatives in Paraná have managed to raise around R$9,40 billion to date, representing approximately 34% of the total amount raised by cooperatives in the country. This is equivalent to the amount raised in the 2022/23 Harvest Plan.

“Regarding the evolution of resources invested from July to December, we can see that, in the current Harvest Plan, the amount raised so far exceeds the volume raised in the same period of the 15/2022 Harvest Plan by 23%”, highlights Turra.
