Rumo S.A. and CHS Agronegócio Indústria e Comércio Ltda. work on forming a joint venture. The objective is to transform the CHS road transshipment warehouse in Alvorada (TO) into a road-rail transshipment terminal.

The companies aim to expand the supply of storage and transshipment capacity in the state of Tocantins. In this way, they create an alternative outlet for producers in the region.

As determined, CHS will contribute to the new company with the contribution from the warehouse (see photo below). And Rumo will make its cash contribution in an amount equivalent to that estimated for the property.

The CHS property is located close to the railway network of Rumo Malha Central S.A., a subsidiary of Rumo, which allows greater agility in the company's logistics operations. From this property, there is rail transport both towards the export corridor of the North Region (towards the Port of Itaqui) and towards the export corridor of the Southeast Region (towards the Port of Santos).

Rumo's press office was contacted. He informed that the company will not comment at this time.

The conclusion of the deal depends on authorization from the competent administrative bodies.
