RS will have new episodes of intense rain in the coming days

The next few days should bring new episodes of intense rain in Rio Grande do Sul. This is what the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 46/2023 points out, from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS -Ascar and Irga.

During Saturday (18/11), the arrival of a mass of dry air will ward off instability and only in the North and Northeast sectors are rain showers expected in the morning. On Sunday (19/11), the presence of dry air will guarantee firm weather and mild temperatures in all regions.

On Monday (20/11) and Tuesday (21/11), the arrival of humid and hot air will favor an increase in cloudiness and an increase in temperatures. On Wednesday (22/11), the approach of a new low pressure area is expected to cause rain showers and thunderstorms, with the chance of new storms in most regions.

The expected volumes are high in most parts of the State and should range between 90 and 130 mm in most areas of the Northern Half, with the possibility of reaching 200 mm accumulated in several locations in the Planalto, Serra do Nordeste, Campos de Cima da Serra and Litoral Norte. In the West Border, Campaign and South Zone, the forecast totals are expected to range between 50 and 70 mm in most municipalities.
