ADAMA Ltd, one of the largest global agribusiness holdings, which is part of the Syngenta Group, promotes organizational changes and Romeu Stanguerlin, CEO of Adama Brasil, assumes, as of January 1, 2021, the position of senior vice president of Brazil on the company's global board, reporting directly to CEO Ignacio Domingues.

With the changes, Adama Ltd. now has four global commercial regions – Brazil, Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific –, in addition to China, with five senior vice presidents responsible for these regions.

“Brazil plays an important role in producing food for the world. And Adama Brasil, an audacious plan to double its size in the next five years, going from a US$700 million company to US$1,4 billion. With at least 10 launches planned for this period, we increasingly have, as an extremely competitive market, a strategic role in Adama's global business and we continue our growth based on having a complete portfolio for the farmer, ranging from generic products to innovative and exclusive products, to be a reference in digital technologies, to optimize our access to the market and in the development of people”, he states that he assumed the position of CEO of AdamaBrasil in April 2019.

Investments

Adama Brasil recently announced an investment of R$ 150 million in a new synthesis unit (active ingredient) for new products in Taquari (RS), which has already started to be built and is scheduled for delivery in November 2021. This adds to the industrial complex already existing in the city and to the factory in Londrina (PR), focused on product formulation. The company had revenues of US$700 million in 2019.
